Am trying to setup packages and advertisements for Verisign PKI patches, specifically the OnSiteMSI and the mpki_vscnfchk_eu_sp1 msi patches, to all our computers PRIOR to installing the PKI product itself. The patches require Admin Rights to install, and, our users are not given those rights.
When we've done these manually, either by using RunAs or by logging in as an Administrator User, while they install, going back in as the normal user to then install PKI fails. It's only been if we temporarily elevate the user to a Local Admin, then install the patches, that the PKI install itself works.
PKI Support has been...less than useful in giving us advice in using SMS, so, wondered if anyone else is doing this.
I was presuming that ALLUSERS=2 or something may be required, but, don't know.
Thanks!
I would try your allusers suggestion in combination with specifying that you want to program to install with admin rights, and allow program to interact.
