Hi i have 2 BITs enabled DP's in an AD 2003 Domain, my sms 2003 sp2
primary
site server is trying to distribute packages to these 2 DP's but in the
distmgr.log files i get the following error can anyone help please?
Error CreateVirtualDirectory: Failed to bind to virtual directory root
IIS://ServerName/W3svc/1/Root.error = The RPC server is unavailble
Now RPC is running on both DP's, IIS is installed on both DP's with BITS,
WebDav and ASP.NET either installed or enabled.
Tearing my hair out any pointers would be a help?
Assuming you are using advanced security mode -- Have you verified that the
SMS site server is in the local administrators group on each DP? And, that
each of your DP's is in the sms site server local group
'SMS_SiteSystemToSiteServerConnection_<sitecode>'?
