Software Distrib Question - Multiple PC's

Hi there all,
Just had SMS 2003 SP2 installed recently and have been implementing it
accross our 100+ network over the last while.
So far, I've been using DCCU and DELL IT Assistant with some success
for BIOS upgrades (it creates a package that you can use to deploy via
SMS) and BIOS tweaks, so if anyone wants any info on same, let me know
and I'll let you know what worked for me.
My question is with regards to the package distribution of Windows
Updates for all PC's on my network. I've managed to have the PC's
(2000 SP4 and XP Clients) inventoried and results have reported back.
There are PC's that need 28+ patches and there are PC's that need 1
patch and others that need 10+ and others etc ....
So, for me to create a package that will cater for all the Clients
needs do I need to manually filter the DSUW according to each Q number
and add them manually? That's a lotta work! Alternatively, can I
download the complete catalog from Microsoft's site and have the
clients Pick and Choose the required updates as and when they're
needed?
I had intended to section off my collection by floor, so I'd have First
Floor Patch Upading done first week, Second etc ... But I'm still at a
loss as to how to collate all required updates into a single package
without a lot of filtering from the DSUW going on?
Any Suggestions?
Thanks
.
