How do I run a program as a specific user with the advanced client?

A couple of programs I have do not install properly under the local system
account. If I choose "Only when a user is logged on" in the program
environment properties and make the user I log in as a local admin on the
machine, the install works fine.
Therefore, I would like to install as a user that has local administrator
rights to get around this, and since obviously I do not want to give all
users local admin rights, I would just send out a job that adds the same
account with a complex password to every machine's local administrator
group.
So my question is, how do I run the program as this specific user? I had
read somewhere that an account specified in the accounts tab of the "Client
Push Installation" would do it, but another source mentioned that this
method is only for the legacy client. In any case, specifying even a domain
administrator there didn't help, as the program still ran under the local
system context.
I'm kinda stuck with a few packages because of this, so any help would be
appreciated. I'm running the SMS servers on Windows 2003 with SP1, SMS 2003
SP2, and the clients are mostly Windows XP SP2, some Windows XP SP1.
thanks,
Chris
