I have hundreds applications that we have packaged and have been deploying with SMS 2003 just fine. If a machine boots to find it has
many advertisements waiting for it, they will usually install
immediately as they should.
Some applications , however, seem to pause the download of the next
applications for 10 minutes. The only thing I notice that seems wrong
is that the Windows Installer Service does not stop for 10 minutes
after these applications install, whereas it stops right away for other
installations. I suspect this being caused by the MSI since not all
applications are doing this and I do not see any errors in the SMS
logs, install logs or Event logs and if I am patient, they all
eventually install fine.
Anyone have an idea of what might be causing the delay as speed is
important to us in this scenario.
