What I did is, I ran the DSUW, select the patches I need
for XP SP1 and advertise it to a particular collection.
The switches used were \z \q for all the selected security
patches. The patchinstall.log on the client reprted a
successful installation as well as the web report and
system status of the advertisment. In the resource
explorer the status of the chosen patches as still showing
as applicable even after the H/W and S/W inventory. After
two days I found some folder with dumy names created on
the advertised PCs which contain the executables of the
patches. I tried to ran one of them and from the xceution
process it seems like the patches didn't executed
    before??!! Any Advice
