We are moving from SMS 2.0 to SMS 2003 and have some issues
with certain software packages that need to be installed as with
Local Admin rights on a machine.
These packages were run as install with Administrative Rights under
SMS 2.0 and installed fine as the SMSCliToknAcct bumped itself into
the local Administrators group on the SMS client. However under
SMS2003 install with Administrative Rights nows gets the LocalSystem
context for the SMS 2003 Advanced client and these packages are failing
as a result.
The response from the vendor of the software being packaged is that
the software needs to be run by a member of the local admins group.
Any suggestions for dealing with this new security context for admin
installs with the SMS2003 advanced client?
Thanks
