For the MMC HF, there is a bug within the detection code, once you have
applied it, ignore this warning message.

As for BITS, make sure that all components of IIS that are required are
installed (ASP.NET WebDAV,Etc), once they are all installed this setup
will continue.

Hi,
I am trying to install SCCM 2007 SP1 on a Windows 2003 SP2 server. When I
run the prerequisite checker I receive the following messages.

This software update addresses several MMC errors that may occur when
running the Configuration Manager console. This update should be applied
if any of the following occur: Configuration Manager console stops
responding when the host computer is low on available memory, context
menu errors on console home pages, or inconsistent display after
drag-and-drop operations do not succeed. More information about this
update is available at: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=98349.

Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is required for the
management point and BITS-enabled distribution point site system roles.
Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is not installed and/or
IIS 6 WMI compatibility component for IIS7 is not installed on this
computer or remote IIS host, or setup was unable to verify remote IIS
settings because IIS common components were not installed on the site
server computer. ConfigMgr requires BITS be installed and enabled in
Internet Information Services (IIS) before setup can continue. Setup
cannot continue.

I've downloaded all the patches available and those mentionned in the
links, but I am still receiving the messages for the MMC. For Bits, Bits
is installed in IIS troughr Control Panel, but I am still receiving the
messages.

Does anyone have any idea.
Thank you
Jacques
