Nevermind. I discovered that even though the SQL back end is on a seperate
susytem, SMS 2003 cannot hook into it because is 64 bit.

We are having issue getting this to work. When using the advanced security.
option durning the install we receive the following error:
Either the SQL Server is in a Windows NT 4 domain or this computer's machine
account does not have Administrator's privileges on the SQL Server. To
install a site in advanced security, all servers must be in Active Directory
and the site server's machine account must have Administrator's privileges on
the SQL Server.
We have added the sms site server machine account to the local administrator
on the SQL server. We have reviewed all the associated articles and even
performed the SPN assignment and still cannot get past this point.
I backed out the installation and used the standard security model with a
service account and it worked correctly that way but I would prefer using the
advanced client model as recommended by Microsoft.
Can anyone provide any insight as to why this is not working correctly?
All servers are running Windows 2003 with SP2 and upto date patches. The
SQL is on 64 bit and the sms is on 32 bit
