I recently had our CM server die.. so i started over fresh this time,
as there wasnt much going on before.. I changed the site code for the
new site/server..
I am able to see all the workstations via the server cm console..
If i goto a workstation.. it of course already has the client
installed, pointing to the old site code..
If try to click discover.. it still says it is the old site code.. if
i manually type in the new one and hit ok.. i get an error:
"failed to update site assignment"
I'm not sure what to do here..
I've tried uninstalling the client.. then reinstalling the client with
the Site=Auto switch.. but it still picks up the old site code..
Any ideas how it is doing this and how to stop it..
(I've also tried right click computer names in the CM console and
choosing client install.. always upgrade.. but this hasnt produced any
results)..
Thanks in advance..
