Hi Kim,
Thanks agian for the reply. Yes, the SMS server's computer account has
local admin rights to the SQL server. I'm wondering though, does the
SMSadmin group (local on SQL) or the SMS server computer account need to have
rights to the DB? So far, only the account that setup SMS has Sysadmin to
the DB.

GreetingsIs your sms site server a local admin on the sql server?
We have setup SCCM with a single site server and an external SQL DB (I never
did it this way before). The problem we are getting is that the "Canned"
reports are not appearing after setting up the Reporting Point (site server's
IIS). I tried to create one manually, and, import a MOF from the "Sandbox
SCCM" and I get an Error 80041001 (Error occured while storing the data). Is
there any security or any other DCOM settings I need to adjust on the SQL
server? I am running the console from the SMS server logged in as the
install account (full access to everything as far as I can tell, including
local admin on the SMS & SQL Server and Sysadmin to the database).
Cheers.
GB.
