Hi all,
by uninstalling/reinstalling MP im assuming you just deselect MP role tab in
System Management Server - > Site Database -> Site Hierarchy-> Site - >Site
Settings -> Site Systems -> Server properties.
I did that and after a while selected MP again, doing this didnt generate
any errors that i am aware.
What about running delcert because now i seem to have two sms id in database
both for with same server name.
The old one has listed in its properties, the SystemRoles[0] SMS Client
Access Point, the SystemRoles[1] SMS Component Server, the SystemRoles[2] SMS
Management Point, the SystemRoles[3] SMS Reporting Point, the SystemRoles[4]
SMS Server Locator Point, the SystemRoles[5] SMS Site Server, the
SystemRoles[8] SMS SQL Server.
And the new one doesnt list any of these roles.
I dont think this is correct or should a site server running advance client
have two records ? They both have different SMSUniqueIdentifier. Is this a
problem, or should this how it should be?
Should i try to fix this and how ?

Hi all ,Just uninstall and re-install your management point.
i had problems running the microsoft update sync tool on the site server.
The sync tool didnt seem to run, it kept hanging on waiting (in report
for that advertisement) and in cas.log
I went throught ccmexec.log, execmgr.log, cas.log and
LocationServices.log.
And in a stupid mood i ran ccmcleaner, and delcert.exe by accident on the
siteserver, since i read somewhere that i needed to reinstall the
advanced client.
Im only now trying to figure out what the implications are,
i now have 2 sms accounts with one being the managementpoint, ds, etc and
the new one.
My question is did i totally screw up her or can i still resolve this
somehow?
The uninstall might no longer be necessary as ccmclean might have taken
care of that, depending on the ccmclean switches you used.
To ease the stress, no real disaster should have come from this.
