The only way to check to see if its corrupted is to either try to login
remotly and see if it failes. We noticed it when we pushed down a vbscript
to rest accounts on the computer and they failed. You can do a registry
compare on the hashed password. If they don't match either it is wrong or
corrupt. We were forced to repair the whole drive. Otherwise you would need
to create a new account and password and store it to the computer.

Thanks again Matthew,.
We are not using network discovery. The account being corrupt sounds
possible how do i check that? It has happened on about 450 machines.
I have mapped to a few and that account has rights that way.
Thanks again for help.

Access denied will popup if you are doing a network discovery and the
computer is off or if your connection account doesn't have access to the
computer.
We had this issue when the account password was corrupted on the client.

Thanks Matthew for the responce.
It has been like this for a few weeks. However, it might still work itself
out.
Anyway, the way i found out about this is the clients are starting to report
they do not have the client installed and inventory is not running on the
clients.
I can still remote them (even though they show to have no client installed).
I am also getting two other errors but not nearly as frequently.
One is the same error but found in SMS_Software_inventory_processor instead
of SMS_Inventory_data_loader
#2
SMS client configuration manager cannot connect to the machine "XXXXX". The
operating system reported error 5 Access is denied.
The account has not changed. And i can use it to attach to all of these
computers.
Thanks again for any help

I have seen this before on some of my machines. It typically works itself
out in about 3 days. Opening the MIF shows that it was corrupt or had a
problem. The 6th inventory will be a full inventory so it should fix itself..

Hey all,
I changed the sql password by doing a site reset and now i have several
problems. The most common is this
SMS Inventory Data Loader failed to process the delta MIF file
"Xlse381an.MIF" because the file does not have a corresponding discovery
record. SMS Inventory Data Loader has moved this file to the Orphans
directory as file "F:\SMS\inboxes\auth\dataldr.box\ORPHANS\eigu1l9e.MIF" and
will retry processing it within 10 minutes.
Possible cause: The delta MIF file came from an SMS 1.2 site, and these
sites do not have discovery agents.
Solution: Verify that the delta MIF file is from a 1.2 site. If so, do
nothing.
Possible cause: Discovery Data Manager is not running.
Solution: Stop and restart Discovery Data Manager. You can use SMS Service
Manager, which is invoked from the SMS Administrator console, to stop and
start components.
The site started as 2003 so the first option is out, and i have done the
second a hundred times. I tried changing the password back and the problems
are still here.
Thanks for any help
