Re: Viewing reports

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Thanks for the info, I tried that and it wasn't entirely sucessful. What I
did find that ended up working is I went to the Virtual Directory in the IIS
Management for SMSReporting_xxx location and opened the properties page. I
changed the "execute permisssions" to contain BOTH "scripts and executables"
and I also changed the "application pool" to "SMS Server Location Point Pool"

Then I rebooted the server and waited about 15 minutes, and then the reports
pages would show up and work. Now I just have to get my clients distributed
over my domain and the collections updated. With about 2000 computers it
seems to take a couple of days to get caught up on this.

Thanks again for you help, you got me moving in the correct direction.

Try disabling the reporting point role, go for a cofee (starbuck prefered),
re-enable reporting point role.

Correction on Error: Object Required 'oRootNode'

I have a problem with viewing any reports: I get the following web error

Line: 910
Char: 2
Error: Object required 'lRootNode'
Code: 0
URL: http://smsr2/SMSReporting%5F/ReportsNav.asp?
ReportID=&DashboardID=&ShowtREE=True

I get this using the same username/account as was used to install the SMS
System on the server. I can see all my systems in the Collections, and I
can
run Resource Manager on the computers I have assigned and installed
clients
on, I just can't see any reports from the Web Page.

Thanks in advance.

PS: I am using Beta 3 (had same error in R2 and SP2) in advanced security
mode. All "apparent" containers have been created and published in AD.
