problems installing advanced client

Hi there!

We have set up a primary site with SMS 2003 R2 and the following
features:
- Windows Server 2003 R2 (one machine running SQL 2005, site server,
management point, et al.)
- AD schema not extended (we are only using one OU in a campus-wide AD
tree)
- clients running Windows XP Pro SP 2
- IIS and BITS installed, MP running properly (checked with MP
Troubleshooter)

The client push installation seems to be working (clients pushed and
completely working on two W2K3 server machines) , but on our XP clients
advanced clients are installed without automatic site code discovery
working and only machine policy retrieval & eval. cycle and user policy
retrieval & eval. cycle showing.

In the SMS console the clients are stated assigned, but installed NO
(including missing site code entry).

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Cheers,
Christian
