Sms server was configured in a secondary site, not in
default-first-site-name. So, my clients have been authenticate in sms
server
now. This is not a global catalog. I have others 2 servers (glocal
catalogs).
If my sms server was crash, the users cannot authenticate. I noticed that
in
AD sites and services, in subnets, my subnet is pointed to sms site. Can I
change this site to default-first-site-name, so that sms goes fine after
that?
Hi Elizabeth,
I'm not sure I understand your question... you seem to be using the
terminology for SMS sites and Active Directory sites interchangeably. Also,
clients do not authenticate against SMS, they authenticate against domain
controllers in Active Directory.
SMS can support SMS site boundaries based on Active directory sites, and/or
IP subnets.
Maybe you have installed SMS on a domain controller? Please clarify these
points.
Steve
