I'm afraid I don't have much more to offer; we had a functional reporting
point, installed sharepoint on the same server as SMS and the reporting
point, the reporting point is now, non functional. Since it was a child QA
site I did not expend much energy to determine the root cause.
The
value we'll get by running SMS from Service Desk, is to have a "link"
from
each configuration item (ex. PC) between the 2 apps (Service Desk -
SMS)...
it's because some fields available in Service Desk are not avalailable in
SMS and viceversa.
I will appreciate any additional comments about it.
IMO, you're better off keeping these 2 products separate.
