Re: No Mp Shares

Yes Kim the share is accesible.

Perhaps I need to disable AD Discovery in secondary site and activate in
primary site in order to generate ccr in the primary site??

At this moment I see in the folder inboxes\ccretry.box in the secondary site
files with the name: namemachine.ccr. If I move one of this files to the
directory inboxes\ccr.box of the primary site is processed correctly.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Is the share available in the primary site?
Can the clients in the secondary site access the share?

Sorry Kin, now primary site with Enable Client Push Installation and
disable
in secondary site but the error is present. Any other setting for this
work??

Many thanks for everything Kim.

Erm, not possible is such a strong word, you might get away with
creating a
share that contains the client files yourself, never tried.
Clients will discover the management point in the primary site for your
site
settings but if you explicitely push from the secondary site than the
client
refuses to install from the primary site since it assumes it is not
what you
want.

Alternative automatic methods, push from primary site, login scripts
(if
users are local admins), group policy based distribution.

Thanks Kim,

then it is not possible use Automatic Push Installation in secondary
sites
without a proxy management point in the secondary site, true??

I though clients will discover and use the management point in
primary
site,
why not??

What other automatic method I can use for install this client??

Many thanks

I have check "enabled client push installation to assigned
resources"
in:

Secondary Site - Site settings - Client installation method

This is automatic, isn´t it?

Hello I have a big problem, this is my sms structure:

First Level -> 1 CENTRAL SITE (MP,DP,RP,CAP,SLP)
Second Level -> 1 PRIMARY SITE (MP,DP,CAP)
Third Level -> 3 SECOND SITES (CAP,DP,NOT PROXY MP) / Method
Discovery:
AD
/
Client Installation Method: Automatic Push Installation.

I have been testing advanced client installation and have
problems
for
install in the sms site server and workstation in the secondary
sites.
In
the
ccm.log in the sms server of secondary site I see:

--> Begin Processing request: "ESSVPD00D010.ESC4",
...
--> Could not retrieve the heartbeat time from the client (2)
--> Unable to retrieve travel mode switch from machine
"ESSVPD00D010"
--> Could not retrieve the site config timestamp from the
client (2)
--> Unable to retrieve the mobile client version from machine
"ESSVPD00D010".
--> Client type to be installed on ESSVPD00D010: Advanced
client
--> No MP shares. Will not push the mobile client to
ESSVPD00D010

ESSVPD00D010 is the name of sms server in secondary site.

If I use Installation Push Wizard the client is installed
correctly.

It is necessary the sms site server in secondary site have
Proxy
Mangement
Point role?

Many Thanks
