I have a question about if is recommended store the database for MOM2005
SP1
and SMS2003 SP2 on same server, in this server (Pentium III, 2GB memory an
two disk 73GB on Raid1) we wished to have the Database MOM - SMS and the
aplications only for SMS.
On another server install the aplication of MOM 2005.
Could you say me please the size for the data base recommended for the MOM
2005 and the size for data base recommended for SMS 2003.
That's like asking how large should your next home or automobile; without
telling us anything about the size of your family. :)
Number of clients to be managed by sms, number of sites/locations, number of
servers to be managed with MOM, etc, etc?
Generally speaking, I don't like placing MOM and SMS databases on the same
SQL Server. Where ever possible I do recommend placing SMS and SQL Server on
the same device.
