1) Does SMS 2003 works with workgroup Env. I have tried SMS 2003
installation in a workgroup windows 2003 machine. But I could get only SMS
admin console installation. So, can I assume that SMS 2003 cannot be
installed in a workgroup machine?
You need to enable WINS for name resolution from these workgroup clients,
use local lmhost file to point to the SMS site management point.
2) Another scenario could be that, if I have an SMS 2003 installed in an
AD,
is it possible for me to support workgroup advanced clients i.e., machines
not in that domain with this SMS ? If yes, how will i install the client
agent and how will I distribute the softwares?
Is the domain in the same forest? If so, you can make that work.
3) During an unattended unattanded distribution of software, how can I
provide the serial keys, for products say office 2003?
Typically you'd create a transform file for the MSI install for serial keys.
