Hi,
just a note: the SMS database is not supported on a clustered SQL server!

Correct, let an account be local admin..
Depending on your security mode, the site server computer account or the sms
service account.

Hi
I am moving my SMS database to a new SQL server, i am leaving the software
installed on the current server, just looking to move the database in to
our
new Clustered Environment. I have found an article on moving the database
and have followed it as per all the steps. The article is
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sms/sms2003/opsguide/ops_2rvx.mspx?mfr=true
When i get to the final step of the SMS Setup Wizard, i get the error
message
"The Windows server <SQLSERVER> that is running the SQL Server is down or
not on the network, or your current Windows logon ID does not allow you to
access the Windows server."
I am assuming that i have to allow an account to log on as a service /
something like this. Or let an account be a local admin?
Any help would be appriciated in this
Cheers
