Again, Kim, I must apologise for the delay in responding -
unfortunately, SMS is not my only "baby".

By "mp folder" I assume you mean Management Point folder. Yes, there
are three mp folders and a site object.

Yes.

Do you publish your sms data in active directory?

Not sure, Kim. I didn't set the thing up - how would I check?

Thanks

Hi all, SMS newbie, thrown in at the deep end....("Get it working
by
Wednesday...":))

SMS2003, trying to deploy Advanced Client on to XP SP2 machines.
SMS
has already been installed/set up on a server.

When I run the client install, either by Client Push or login
script,
then check Control Panel/Systems Administration/Advanced tab on
the
client machine, the "Currently assigned to site code:" box is
blank,
and clicking "Discover" brings up a "Automatic Site Code
Discovery
was
unsuccessful" message box. Also, on the Actions tab, only two of
the
possible actions are available.

Site boundaries look OK, and I followed the procedures described
on
the
MS SMS course I attended last wek.

Any ideas where I might start looking to solve this?

Thanks for any assistance

Stephen
