Ovin,

You cannot promot a Secondary Site to Primary Site. To help you with
migrating the current Primary Server to new hardware, you can check out the
SMS "Scenarios and Procedures for SMS 2003: Maintenance, Backup, and
Recovery".

Also when you run the SMS Recovery Expert Website, it provides detailed
instructions on how to move SMS to new hardware based on your input to the
questions. But first read the above document to help you become familiar
with the process and the underlying components that must be backed up and
recovered successfully. And be sure to test it first before performing in
production!
