Well, I am obviously not going to go head to head with a Microsoft Tech
Support guy, but you might want to ask im whether he is talking about
sms 2.0 or sms 2003.

And you could both watch the roaming flash on the microsoft website, it
does a pretty fair job of explaining what happens in the different
roaming scenario's or, if you have the time you could read the roaming
white paper which would even be better.

An Advanced Client in a secondary site may access distribution points in
that site, as long as the package source files have been distributed to
the distribution point. If the secondary site is connected on a slow
link from the parent site, it is preferable to have distribution points
at the secondary site.
