SMS Hierarchy

Hello,

We are trying to test SMS 2003 Server.

We have installed everything, and in doing so, chose not to extend the
active directory schema.

After installation, in the management console under Site Status > Site >
Component Status we had a red X that is showing a critical error.

I think this error message tracks back to the SMS Hierarchy Manager which
states that it cannot add the site, our site, as an object in Active
Directory.

Does anyone know how severe this error message is and whether there is a fix
for it? As I said, we are testing this, so on installation I did not want
to to extend Active Directory and am under the impression that we can use
SMS without extending it.

At this point, I am concerned that it is critcal, as it states, and we are
going to have trouble testing the software.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Steve K.
