I have a test environment featuring one Windows 2003
server with all site roles assigned to it. I have five
test PCs (three Windows 2000 and two Windows XP). I
enabled all of the discovery methods and finally got all
of the PCs discovered, but only the site server and one
other XP workstation showed "Yes" in the Assigned column
in the SMS console. I manually installed the Advanced
Client on all of the PCs and the server. When I open
Systems Management under Control Panel, all of the
information is there including the management point, SMS
site assignment, and the SMS ID. However, all of the
components only show up as "installed" (I was expecting
to see "enabled" or "disabled") and there are only a
couple of options under the Actions tab. In the SMS
console, all systems show "no" in the client column. I
ran the "All Client Systems" query and it shows that
there are no clients. I have tried everything I can
think of and read everything I can think of and can still
find no reason for this. Please let me know what I can
do. Thanks in advance for your help.
