Client Deployment - Preselection

Hi,

i'm a trainee and have become an exercise.
I have to check if our desktop deployment could be made easier and
flexible.
Today we install out desktops with the SMS2003, there are several
packages wich are used, although different applications like adobe
acrobat reader / writer.
There are two ways of deployment, one is the standard image and the
user requests additional applications, the other is to use a bootcd
(probably pxe), there can be the os and the applications / languages
selected.

Is there a way, to let the user choice of the wanted / needed
applications and OS through a webpage. The webpage generates a
individual "unattended" file, this file will be placed on a usb stick
connceted to the new pc. The pc reboots with pxe boot and gets the
deployment as selected.

So i need a few hints if this could be a possible way. It is for a
presentation / report, so i don't need a fully lighted way to a
implementation.

Thanks for your help,

Gregor
