Re: HA for SMS Database

From what I know at this point (as the "SQL Stuff" writer for ConfigurationManager 2007 (aka SMSv4)) is that database mirroring will not be supported
in Configuration Manager 2007. Hosting the site database on a virutal SQL
Server cluster instance will be, but not the mirroring part. So cluster=yes,
mirroring=no at this point.
Of course, Configuration Manager 2007 hasn't shipped yet, so this is just
how the support stands right now and may change.

Yups, someone know. More specifically the faq knows.
And the answer is no, sms does not support it, and it will not work.
SCCM 2007 aka sms v4 which is due next summer will support database
mirroring.

Hi,
What is the recommendation to achieve the above (HA is deemed crucial)?
Does anyone know if SMS 2003 SP2 or SCCM 2007 support database mirroring
available with SQL 2005 SP1?
Kindly advise.
Thanks
spencer
