I have a senario where the SMS database is installed on another SQL server
and the SMS server is configured as Primary Site & Reporting Point.
When i trying to generate a report from the SMS server, the report
returned
me error as below:
An error occurred when the report was run. The details are as follows:
Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL
Server connection.
Error Number: -2147467259
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Native Error: 18452
I was trying to review the site status but everthing seem fine, the SMS
server also can successfully update the database at the SQL server.
The SMS service account and the SMS computer account is belong to local
administrator group for SQL server. During the setup there was no error at
all.
Can anyone give me some advice on this issue?
I realize I'm late replying to this issue (just found it)... hopefully you
have solved it by now?
Could be a couple of things...
-- check that the spn's are set correctly
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829868/en-us
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886143/en-us
-- set up an alias from the reporting point to the sms site system. From the
RP run cliconfg.exe and set up a TCP/IP alias (use the server name running
sql server).
