Metering DLL's

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi all,

The company I work for has specific software packages for which it wants to
meter the usage. Problem is: these packages are DLL's (AutoCad extentions).
Our IT department just can't get the system to start metering those DLL's.

Is there a way to meter DLL's? Microsoft Support claimed (according to our
IT department) that SMS 2003 just couldn't do it (I have a doubt about this
answer). It seems that SMS 2.0 was able to meter DLL's, so it's beyond me why
a newer version wouldn't be able to.

So: can it be done? Any hints as to how other companies solved this problem?

Thanks and best regards,
