Installing Active Directory on SMS 2003 server

I have a primary site server. It is a member server in Amsterdam domain. In
Amsterdam i am installing a secondary SMS server, to be place in NewYork.
Amsterdam and NewYork are in diffrent subnets. The harddisk wil be shipped to
NY and i will configure it further, change ipadres, configure the boundaries
etc.
Now i got to do a dcpromo on the secondary server. The local
SMS_Site.....groups would not be available locally. I think that they would
be seen in AD. Is that a problem...
What are the problems i can expect.
