In response to customer requests to provide more information on scripting
for SMS, I'm very happy to announce on behalf of the SMS Doc Team, that we've
partnered with the Tech Net Script Center in creating an SMS Script
Repository with 12 scripts (as a start), and a Scripting Guide containing
introductory information and many more script samples!
We have also committed to gathering customer requests for scripting on an
ongoing basis, and to adding 3-4 new scripts to the SMS Scripting Repository
each month.
The SMS Scripting Guide is a task based 'How To' document for scripting SMS
operations by SMS Administrators who know how to perform operational tasks
through the SMS administrator console but who have very little scripting
experience. The SMS Scripting Guide provides over 40 scripts, ranging from
tasks such as creating advertisements to running queries. It explains the
basics of SMS objects, WMI, and VBScript through a series of 'How To'
examples. Each example has extensive and appropriate links to other
resources, such as the SMS SDK, the WMI SDK, and the Windows 2000 Scripting
Guide. If you see a script you'd like to use, just copy, paste, and run it.

for a few final links to be added to the SMS Scripting Guide from both the
Client and Server SMS scripting pages - we expect these links to go live
very soon.
If you have any scripts you'd like to see please just bug the request or
email the SDKdocs alias.
