Hello,
I got the following error in the System Log of one of my site servers:
"The SMS_SERVER_BOOTSTRAP_<SERVERNAME> service failed to start due to the
following error: The service did not start due to a logon failure. "
Not sure where to find this service. I checked the services running on this
server and the only ones I found are:
SMS_EXECUTIVE <Started> <Automatic>
SMS_SITE_BACKUP <Stopped> <Manual>
SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER <Started> <Automatic>
I've already verified that the username/password combination that I'm using
is valid in the above services. Where would I go to find the service
mentioned in my System Log?
A couple of notes:
This server is a Domain Controller in a small location (4-5 users).
I have not been able to successfully push the SMS client to my users, so
I've had to manually launch capinst.exe at each workstation.
All workstations and servers reside on same domain.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
