    Not all. Inventory, status messages, discovery data, site control files,
    software metering information . . .Things like packages and collections and
    advertisements only go from the parent to the child.

    Specify - primary or secondary child? Site server or other site system? For
    a primary child site server, no. It all gets packages up on the site server
    and then is scheduled, sent, and despooled on the receiving site server, and
    that site server accesses the database. For a secondary child site server,
    yes, because that is its only database. If you have a proxy management
    point, it will contact the primary site database directly for policy and
    package source location requests.

    I'm assuming so. The send and receive process is pretty much the same
    whether you are sending up or down the hierarchy. I would hope we have all
    the required ports documented in that KB.
