quick troubleshooting sms_def.mof:
First, as a pre-requisite, if you do not already have SMS Toolkit 2
from Microsoft, download and install it. Then launch trace32 and
associate it with log files.
Next, open up on your server this log file: \sms\logs\dataldr.log
Finally, save a modified sms_def.mof (even if that mod was just to add
a space, then remove a space, then save).
Monitor the dataldr.log file; it should tell you it's trying to mofcomp
sms_def.mof, and either succeed, or fail, to do so. Hopefully dataldr
will be able to tell you why it's failing to compile.
If the log file entries don't give you a good enough clue as to how to
fix the problem, please forward the dataldr.log file, and the
sms_def.mof to mofmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks!

I have also just discovered that I cannot even do re-save the existing MOF.
It still reverts to the previous time stamp. I'm at a loss.......

(the problem)
mofcomp -check produces no errors, but after replacing the file on the
server, within 60 seconds it reverts to the last "good" mof.
