Well Nick did you know that you can send a message to their MOF master, she
is always willing to answer questions and sometime they hang out in the
newsgroups as well.
As for the cost, it is a good reference book and for under a hundred dollar
you can't go wrong. I have a copy of this book.
As for your issue, if the mof file is being replace by an old one it is one
of two things
There is a problem compiling your mof file.
Or
You are updating the wrong location for the mof file like on your CAP.
What did you add to the mof file? Can you post it?

Thanks Garth, I had actually seen that you replied the same in another
post.
After looking at the table of contents, I'm not entirely sure if it'll be
used more than once nor get my boss to justify the cost...I'm sure you
know
can relate.
Anyone else?

Take a look at the "Start to Finish Guide to MOF Editing" found on the
SMSExpert.com site.

Is there a resource or guideline for troubleshooting SMS_def.mof?
(the problem)
mofcomp -check produces no errors, but after replacing the file on the
server, within 60 seconds it reverts to the last "good" mof.
Thanks,
nick
