Hi Jerry,
If you have not modified your sms_def.mof you do not have any printer
releated info in you hardware inventory and you will not be able to do any
reports.
Open \sms\inboxes\clifiles.src\hinv\sms_def.mof and look for PrinterDevice.
Change SMS_Report (FALSE) to TRUE.
Go over each of the properties and change FALSE to TRUE for the ones you
will like to include. You will need to change the DeviceID (has a key
field).
Description, Name, Drivername, Portname seems like good choices.
Save the SMS_DEF.MOF
Check datalodr.log and see that the file is compiled correctly. Wait for the
clients to pick up the updated policies and return hardware inventory.
After this you will be able to see printer information for each client.
