First of all, Sms 2003 also inventorizes everything listed in Add/remove
programs which is usually better to do reporting on.
But to answer your question.
Jan trnka, already created a fairly large product & manufacturer
database that you can download at his webpage

All the way at the bottom you will find two downloads
one for manufacturers database & one for products.
