I have looked at the logs on both client and server and yet I am not
sure what is happening. We deployed SAV 9.0 and I have 2 queries to
see who does and who does have it installed. The 1st query lists it
as being installed and the second is a Subselect query that is saying
this PC does not have it installed?! Also, it is still claiming that
the PC has Novell installed yet it does not.
I have verified that the client is processing the inventory and
copying the information to the server. I checked the SINV.Box and
there are no orphans or BADSinc files. The sid / sic files are not
just hanging out. They are getting processed.
I also checked the time on the PC. It is current and not out of time.
There appears to be no errors in the SMS console.
After uninstalling / reinstalling the SMS agents using the /scrub
feature, I manually re-ran the inventory. No change.
Would this be a case where the SQL DB is not getting updated
correctly? If so, what would be the next step?
