Re: Packaging Software for SMS

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Opinions are thick on the ground for this question. As someone who
has used both Wise Package Studio 4.x (older version) and AdminStudio
8.x; both have their strengths; and both will get the job done.

The way I usually explain it is if you are an administrator at heart--
and 'grew up' on scripts or batch files, you might find Wise easier to
understand. If you are a developer/programmer at heart, you might
find AdminStudio easier to get up to speed on. I've been using
AdminStudio for almost a year now... and even though I haven't used
Wise in all that time (license expired); there are still times when I
think "this would be so much easier in Wise". But again, that's
probably because I'm an admin at heart.

Another reason for Wise: a very nice independent "WPS for newbies":

using Wise Package Studio and I am fond of it.
