This would be a question for the sms.swdist newsgroup or the sms.admin.
You'll get more people looking at your post in those newsgroups and people that specifically want to solve those issues. You may also find your answer by doing a search on those newsgroups incase someone else has already asked this question.
This newsgroup is for SMS Installer questions. SMS Installer is a utility for repackaging applications. In your case you do not need to repackage.

I am want to distribute Windows Messenger v 5.1 to my clients.
I create package using messenger.msi file.
In program I set: msiexec /i "\\fileserver\messenger.msi" /passive
In log i see - progaram was started on client, but return the error 1619.
If I run this command manually from client's command line - it execute without any errors.
Client use msiexec version 3.0.
What I need to do that SMS2003 can distribute this package to client?
Thank you in advance!
