Hi,.
Thank you for your post.
My name is Eric Zhang, and it is my pleasure to work with you on this
issue!
Please allow me to confirm that my understandings are correct. As I
understand it, the issue is:
1. You want to create a collection that contains the XP computers without
clients installed.
2. When installing the advanced client, you need to configure the site code
automatically.
If I have misunderstood your concerns please feel free to let me know.
Suggestion:
1. Please open SMS console, create a new collection, specify the collection
name, in "Membership rules" tab, create a new query rule and edit the query
statement as the follow:
Select Name, SMSAssignedsites, IPAddresses, IPSubnets,
OperationSystemNameandversion, ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,
SMSUniqueIdentifier, ResourceID, ResourceType, NetbiaosName from
SMS_R_System where (Client = 0 or Client is NULL) and
OperationSystemNameand Version like "%workstation 5.1%"
2. For automatically assigning side code, please set the value in SMS
console - Site Database - Site settings - Client installation methods -
Client push installation - Advanced Client.
After the site code is configured, when you push the client to
computers, please select "Site default" which will uses setting defined in
Client Push installation properties.

| Is there a way to setup a collection that updates itself that contains
only

to

settings,
| which i've configured with my site code and all that good stuff already?
