if you have the maintenance tasks enable to delete old PC then PCs will be deleted out of the database. This generally occur ~90 days after their last discovery or inventory.



However since you said the DNS scavenging is not turn on, you could have issues and the PCs could be seen as active until their DNS record is removed. Then it will take 90 days for them to be removed.

I understand that SMS populates client information from AD.

Our business has had DNS scavenging turned off and this has been addressed
and we are going through a process of deleting all old discontinued computers
from AD

Question is - will SMS automatically remove the client from SMS database ?
or do we need to do something else ?
