Hello,

I saw a few posts similar to this, but not an answer that was final.

We are going to be changing the NetBIOS names on a ton of computers that
have already been added to SMS 2003 and have the advanced client on them.  On
the ones we have tested, the name eventually updates in SMS to the changed
name, but the client starts showing as not installed (shows as "No").  Is
there a way to get SMS to see the client as installed again (show as "Yes"),
without reinstalling the client of all the machines one by one....please say
there is!!!

Thanks,
