Hello,
I have a primary site with 1 central site server and 1 MP server. I have
20 secondary site servers around the country, and about 500 SMS advanced
clients (my environment is SMS 2003 SP2 with SQL 2005 SP1)
My hardware inventory is set to 1 week.
My heartbeat discovery are set to once a day
I have a ton of status messages and harware inventory files queuing up on
my
primary management point (d:\sms\mp\outboxes\hivn.box and stat.box
The logs show files being "dispatched" the SMS site server, but it can't
seem to keep up with the volume of files (currently there are over 2,000
files in each)
The MP shows NO CPU usage, and the site server inboxes are not full.
So,
it seems my MP isn't "dispatching" the files fast enough
Is there a sneaky registry edit or something I can do to make my MP
process
the outbox files FASTER? When the queues get too big, I no longer
receive
heartbeats for my clients, and they start showing up in the console as
"not
active clients".
Are you sure that your MP is communicating with the SMS site server
database???
You may want to run the MP Troubleshooter utility from the SMS 2003Toolkit2
for clues.
