I have a Primary Child site that is not sending it's data to it's Parent site
None of the childs clients appear in the parent sites collections.
There are no '3306' SMS_HIERARCHY_MANAGER messages on the Parent site that
are from this child site.
There is another Primary Child site reporting to the same Parent and it's
clients appear in the collections at the Parent site as well as '3306'
messages.
The Child Site I'm having issues with does show up properly in the hierarchy
on the Parent Site's SMS console.
Everything seems to be configured properly.
Addresses are set up on child and parent, each site is a member of the
other's SiteToSiteConnection group. Parent Site is 'Set' at the Child site
Any ideas on how best to resolve this issue?
THANKS!
One thing to look at; see if it is perhaps that your delta Site
Control File changes are not being processed. At the Central, Query
Analyzer, with the SMS database chosen, run this:
select * from sitecontrol
You should not have any 'TypeFlag' 2 types for more than a few
minutes. All TypeFlag should be 1.
If you have typeflag 2s, you should contact Microsoft and indicate you
are having "Site to Site Communication problems", and mention the
TypeFlag 2 's that exist in your select * from sitecontrol. If you
don't have typeflag 2's... I'd still contact MS and mention site-to-
site communication problems. They'll ask you for all of your server
logs and help you figure out what's going on.
