RE: Admin Console problems

Hi
Here is a link that you should check
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317872

I had the same problem and found that the local computer was the problem.
I couldn't see any object under the folders. Even though i could create a
report, it disappeared after a refresh...

I found out that this worked:
<<---
Check DCOM security settings
Warning Do not make these changes unless you cannot resolve this issue by
adding the Unsecapp.exe program and TCP port 135 to the exceptions list.

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly
by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might
require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee
that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

You may not resolve this issue by adding these exceptions to Windows
Firewall. You may have to set anonymous remote permissions in DCOM for the
client computer. To do this on the Windows XP SP2-based computer that is
running the SMS Administrator console, follow these steps: 1. Click Start,
click Run, type dcomcnfg.exe, and then click OK.
2. Locate the Console root node, expand Component Services, expand
Computers, and then click My Computer.
3. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
4. In My Computer Properties, click the COM Security tab.
5. In Access Permissions, click Edit Limits.
6. Click ANONYMOUS LOGON.
7. In Permissions for ANONYMOUS LOGON, click Allow setting for Remote
Access.
8. Click OK two times.
9. Restart your computer.

Good Morning all,

I am installing the SMS 2003 Admin console on a co-workers workstation from
the SMS 2003 CD. I have installed SP2. I am able to connect to the site
server but am unable to see any of the collections, reports, quarries,
adverts, programs any thing at all for that matter. Anyone have any
suggestions or fixes for this?

Thanks
