Garth, We set up our DMZ with a dedicated site server...
Mark, I would suspect that if you check that article and start by enabling
the ports under sections (does not include remote control:
Port requirements: SMS 2003 Advanced Client to Active Directory
Port requirements: SMS 2003 Advanced Client to Management Point or to
distribution point

For me, most of the time the client is already installed before being
moved into the DMZ. In a few rare case I manually installed the client on
each server, either via console or HP's iLo.

Garth,
I looked at that article previously but wasn't sure which which section
corresponds to pushing the client out to users through a firewall. Any
suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Good morning. I've been looking through all the postings and havven't
seen
the info looking for. What firewall ports need to be open when
pushing
out
the SMS Client to users? We have some users sitting behind a firewall
at
remote locations. Thanks in advance.
Mark
