Security Updates

Hey all,

Is there a resource out there that explains step-by-step on how to do
the microsoft updates? I have all of the software successfully
installed on my SMS server, but am not sure where to go from there.
I've read the install guides and scenario and procedures but they are a
little dry. Does anyone know of any instructions out there that kind
of does it down and dirty?
