The "Lock" is a ICON that is displayed because the package is "Managed"
by the "PARENT" server. If you have a package that is built on another
server then pushed down to a Child/Seccondary site it will show up with
a "LOCK" on it because you need to go to the source server to remove
the package or make modifications to it from the source server "The
Parent Server is your SMS site"...
I hope this helps.

When I am trying to remove a package from one of the distribution points, I
notice that there is a lock on some of the distribution points. The lock
actually appears as part of the icon if I go to the package -> Distribution
Points. Then, when I right click the distribution point with the lock, the
"Delete" option does not show up on the menu and All Tasks -> Refresh
Distribution Point is also grey'd out. I am not sure what has gone wrong.
Any idea how to remove the lock?
Thanks.
